Holiday Program

Peanut had his Holiday Program today and while he knew all the songs and we had heard him singing them for the past month, he didn’t sing as enthusiastically as we had hoped. He said it was because he had bit his tongue just before their turn to go on stage.

Daddy’s Birthday

It’s Daddy’s Birthday today and Peanut made him a birthday card! He drew balloons and added some ocean stickers.

He also wrote “I love you Dada” and signed his name. When Mama asked if which name he wanted to sign, he chose “Peanut”. Haha.

After swim and dinner, we sang “Happy Birthday” and enjoyed desserts that Mama bought at Bouchon Bakery earlier today.

Gelato

The kids went to swim and then enjoyed one of their favorite places to eat near Aquatech. They ate all their pizza so they got to choose a kid’s scoop of gelato.

It’s great how Janie isn’t as scared to order things for herself now. This has been a skill that we’ve had to work on for a couple years.

Father’s Day Celebration

This afternoon, Peanut and his class did a little performance for all the dads. Dada couldn’t make it but Mama came to record the performance and enjoy some ice cream with him. He made this painted picture and sang a song.

This was their 4th time singing the song so Peanut looked a little less enthusiastic in this video. I just like this one because he’s standing up close and next to his best buddy Ethan.

Learning to Read

Now that Peanut is almost four and knows his upper and lowercase letters, Dada has introduced him to the reading workbook that Janie used when she was around the same age. It was hard work but she learned to read with these daily lessons with Dada.

Peanut is really enjoying it and understands the concepts so far. Dada came home from work late this evening and Peanut made him do a lesson with him before heading to bed.
