It’s not always this peaceful at home with these two so I thought I’d capture this moment. Big Sister built the giant ramp from the instructions and then Little Brother got to play with it.

Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason arrived this afternoon and the kids got started on the toys right away.

Janie was happy to see Auntie Jia and Peanut was getting reacquainted with her.

Peanut remembered TomTom, NiNi, Uncle Jason, and Auntie Jia from just a couple weeks ago.

It was so much fun to see all four kids interacting and playing with each other.
For a while they were split boy-boy and girl-girl but it eventually mixed into a whole group activity. Janie did a great job playing with the littles.

We had an impromptu BBQ in front of our house today for lunch. It was with two other families: Gavin and his dad along with Ellie and her dad.
The kids had fun eating outside together and then played in the sun before it was time for everyone to take their naps.

Janie came home from school with this drawing. It’s a bunch of airplanes. She said “Sota Wota has a shirt with airplanes so I drew this for him. Now we have to send it to Japan.” I guess she still thinks of him often. So sweet.

The day started with just lunch at the new Islands in the Cerritos Towne Center. Mama and Dada got to catch up with their old friends from highschool (Holly and Dayantha) while the kids sat next to each other and colored.

Then we walked around the plaza and got some soft serve nearby. This is when the smiles and the conversations started.

It was getting hot outside so we all met up at Yai and Ta’s house. The grown-ups hung out while the kids played together.

At one point, we had almost all the kids in the sandbox together. Janie and Andrew made tortillas while Peanut and Sienna “helped”.

Oliver preferred to stay out of the sand and play nearby.

In the evening, three of the kids got in the back of Auntie Holly’s car to drop off Sienna and then we went to Daiso.

Andrew and Janie ended up with a water toy to bring home.

These two ended up having a great time together today. Last time they got to spend this much time together was in Hawaii 3 years ago. Too bad we don’t live closer.

The kids sat down with their books this morning before breakfast. Ah…so nice.

During music class today, Peanut learned how to play Ring Around the Rosie. He seemed pretty amused.
