It’s Monday and Peanut is back to his old routine. Just a little scribbling and tricycle riding…no big deal.
He also got to watch some TV with Janie and thought wearing his beanie inside the house would be a good idea.
Watch us grow!

It was a nice and sunny day for Janie’s very first ski lesson. We went to Sierra since it was only a 20-minute drive from our rental house and they had 1/2-day lessons.
Here she is in her gear. We rented skis, boots, and a helmet for her. She’s ready to go!
Here’s her very first run! Yaaaay! So happy she didn’t fall on her first try.
By the end of the day, she was making “pizzas” and “french fries” with her skis and having a great time.
She was also riding the magic carpet back up the hill on her own.
She had a great first day and her instructor was really cool. She learned a lot and seemed to enjoy skiing.
Peanut napped for most of the lesson and then woke up for snacks and drinks with Dada.
He also found an ewok near the rental tent.
Janie went back to swimming lessons after a week of illness. Good to see she hasn’t lost anything.
Peanut also slept through most of her lesson and then woke up in time to watch the end of her lesson.

We spent the day in Half Moon Bay today and met up with the Tsaos at Gray Whale Beach Cove. There was a bit of a walk down to the beach but it was worth it.

The beach was quiet and the weather was surprisingly warm without any wind.

Eventually, the kids couldn’t resist the water any longer.

They just love making muddy sand together.

The kids played just like they did in Hawaii together. This reminds me how nice it is to be living in California. By the end of the day, Janie was down to her swim suit and living it up!

Janie and Sophie have grown up together and still enjoy the same things.

I love this photo of them burying their feet in the sand. I could hear them say “we’re so smart, the water won’t get us now.”

These kids had such a fun time outside at our local beach.

Peanut even got a comfy nap inside our pop-up tent!

The walk back up the cliff wasn’t as bad as we expected. Peanut actually managed to walk up at least half of the steps back up.

Thanks you Jamie for getting a group photo at then end of the day! He also captured quite a few of our photos from the day too.

On the way home, the we stopped at McDonald’s for Happy Meals. They were hungry from a big day at the beach!
Both kids wanted whole carrots and decided to do a carrot dance too.
Henry celebrated his 4th birthday at Astro Park/Playground this morning. It was a rocketship theme complete with cupcakes covered in rainbow rocks an stars.
The kids enjoyed the chocolate cupcakes – including Peanut!!!
I was in disbelief when he asked for one and actually ate a few bites.
Henry’s little brother Hudson was also enjoying his cupcake.
There were lots of bagels and fruit to snack on too!
The playground was fun too! Peanut loved the rainbow slide and bridge.
Janie showed off her monkey bar skills today and looked like the next American Ninja Warrior.

It’s Christmas Eve and we went back to Disneyland once again! We entered from the Monorail and it was so much faster than the main entrance!

We were able to get onto the Finding Nemo submarine ride with just a 10-minute wait!

Janie also got to drive a car at Autopia and got her very own driver license!

Peanut didn’t go to Autopia so he got some apples and time to run around.

Then we headed up to Mickey’s Toontown and visited Minnie Mouse at her house.

We had a FastPass for It’s a Small World and had a short 10-minute wait. Yippee!!

The girls got to sit up front in our boat.

Peanut loved the music and sang along to “Jingle Bells”.

After lunch, we went to see Winnie the Pooh and Santa.

Janie brought her Pooh Tsum Tsum to show him.

The kids took a photo with Santa.

Our next FastPass was for Space Mountain and Janie agreed to try it. She is way past the 40-inch mark for these rides so we felt she was ready!!

It was all smiles as we boarded but she held tightly to Mama’s arm and closed her eyes for the entire ride.

We are so proud of her for trying something she was scared to do.

It was almost parade time so we found a spot near the Matterhorn and set up camp. We had a few minutes to kill so the girls went for a spin on the carousel.

While we waited in line, they got a photo with Cinderella who happened to be riding the carousel too!

After the parade, the kids got their light-up toys for the rest of the evening. Hooray for Target’s bargain section!!

Next challenge for Janie was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. She rode between Dada and Mama and held on tightly.

She conquered another fear and decided to go a second time!! Woohoo!

After dinner, we went out to see the lighting of the castle and it started to snow!! Peanut kept yelling “on my head!!”

As a reward for all her bravery, we stopped at the candy store to pick out a special treat. The girls chose to get Jelly Bellies. Yum.

We love Disneyland at night. All the lights are so pretty!

All the kids were wide awake still so we went back to Fantasyland to ride Dumbo. Weeeeee!!

Before the fireworks started, Janie decided to go on Space Mountain one more time.

Can you see her hiding in Mama’s arm?

Meanwhile, Peanut rode Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and LOVED it.

He loved it so much that he went a second time at the end of the night and left the ride saying “that was fun, pew pew!”

We had a full and exciting day at Disneyland with both kids really toughing it out without any meltdowns. Peanut also took a good nap and the two strollers really came in handy at the end of the night. We took this photo as we exited. Janie was passed out and Peanut was still fired up from his “pew-pew” ride. Until next year!!
