Mama uses these at work all the time and thought Peanut would like it.

frogs and fish
We went to the California Academy of Sciences this morning and started in the rainforest.
Janie saw lots of different frogs and butterflies.
She really liked these tiny orange frogs.
We then headed down to the aquarium where Janie touched the sea star and sea urchin.
Peanut sat and watched the fish swim by and big sister helped point stuff out.
Inside the tunnel, Janie found a diver cleaning the glass and took a photo with her.
At the gift store, Janie saw an Octonauts display with all the different Gups.
For lunch, we walked down to Pacific Catch where she had a teriyaki salmon bowl. She likes watching fish and eating them too. Heh heh.

Peanut had tofu for the first time tonight and attacked it. Funny guy.

Peanut went to town on this rice cracker today. He ate the whole thing in a matter of minutes.

Oysters
After FanFest, Janie asked for oysters for lunch. So, we went to Hog Island for lunch. We’re gonna have to find a place that sells $1 oysters because this girl ate 6 out of the 12 that we ordered – leaving Mama and Dada with only 3 each! She would have eaten them all if she could.
Peanut joined us in his highchair and had some squash. He was entertained by all the people walking past him.
This toy is pretty fun too.
Valentine’s Day at School
There was a big celebration of Valentine’s Day at school today. The kids exchanged valentines (we gave DumDums and pencils) and the kids had a special presentation to the parents at the end of the day. Luckily Mama was home today so she was able to watch too.
All the kids had worked hard over the past two weeks practicing some love songs, making ukuleles, cutting out hearts, and making necklaces for each of their parents.

They all performed for us this afternoon, strumming their ukuleles and singing 4 songs.
Then they handed out their gifts for us. We didn’t even know Janie could cut out a heart already! What a nice job she did. The ukuleles also had rubberbands that made noise when you pluck them. Very clever.
Before we left school, all the kids decorated their own cookies and ate them (of course).
To celebrate what a good job she did, we took her to SuperDuper and she ate about 75% of this burger!
We took the train home after dinner and then Janie played her ukulele some more.
She also insisted that we both wear our leis this evening before bed and snapped a photo.
white carrot
Peanut also got a white carrot today. We think he’s teething so it was perfect. Mama likes it because it’s white and doesn’t stain his clothes. 🙂

Peanut got a big piece of toast to gnaw on today. He was so happy and I think he got some tiny mushed up pieces in the end. It was a mess but he had a blast.
