Watch us grow!
Mama took BART to work today so she got to pick up Janie from school. This is the Muni station where we wait for our ride home.
Janie sipped her milk and waited patiently for the train like a commuting pro. This is way more fun than sitting in a car in traffic.
This afternoon, Janie rode her scooter with Dada behind her on a skateboard. They went down to the Ferry Plaza to meet up with Rowan and Isla.
They had ice cream and then played together.
Mama and Peanut came a little later to join in on the fun.
Mama is so relieved that this little guy likes to eat. He tries everything and never spits it back out.
Today he tried steamed carrot pieces and then had some ground beef at dinner.
At one of our favorite restaurants, they informed us that they no longer have the neato booster seats. So, Peanut sat on Dada’s lap for part of dinner. He had his rice cakes and then later some little pieces of Dada’s steak. Lucky boy!
This morning, Janie went to see Uncle Randy for her semi-annual visit. We got there early enough for her to enjoy the video game machine for a couple minutes.
Today, she sat on Mama’s lap for the cleaning but did a great job following directions and allowing the hygienist to do all the cleaning without needing to do the song and dance beforehand.
She even learned how to put her lips on the suction tube each time she rinsed her mouth with water.
Today was also the day she had her first x-rays taken. She sat in the chair all by herself (Mama sat outside the room) and held still for most of the pictures. No cavities!!
Uncle Randy later came in to count and inspect her teeth and gums. When he was all done, Janie got a prize, new toothbrush, and an Elsa sticker (of course)!
Afterward, we stopped at Target to pick up a few things and then had lunch at a pho place by the freeway. She must have been hungry because she ate 1 1/2 spring rolls and her entire bowl of noodles, beef, and soup.
This guy loves chomping on celery sticks. If you listen carefully, you can hear his crunching.

Peanut had brocolli florets today for dinner and had a good time picking them up and feeding himself.
Both kids had a fever and rash this morning so they had a sick day at home with Mama. The rash was all over their trunks, arms, and legs. Janie also had some red dots on her face. We sent photos to the advice nurse and she said it was likely the end of a viral illness.
Janie quietly played with her Legos while Peanut took his morning nap.
When he woke up, he was in good spirits and hung out in the jumparoo for a bit.
Dada wanted to have lunch with us so we took the train to Union Square.
On our way to the restaurant, we stopped at the Disney Store and Janie picked out some new Frozen PJs and an Elsa shirt. She finally redeemed the gift card that Uncle Johnny gave her.
For lunch, we had Thai food and Janie had more of an appetite than we expected. She chowed on Pad Thai while the soup cooled. Peanut took a nap in the stroller while we ate.
When the soup was ready, she served herself a helping without spilling. She loves her Tom Kha Goong and even ordered it herself today!
Once we got home, everyone took a nap. Everyone was fever free by the end of the day!
This morning, Janie had breakfast with Dada at the Starbucks across from school. What a cutie!
We went to Rowan and Isla’s house this evening for dinner and they all sat at the kids table together. So cute. Thanks for dinner, Auntie Vyl! Janie loved your spaghetti!
