We went out for Japanese food this evening and Janie insisted on ordering a rainbow roll but said “I will eat the fish and avocado on the outside and Dada will be the rice inside”. And that’s what she did. The server also gave her the orange chopstick trainer to add to the wooden chopsticks so that was extra fun!
Auntie Ranee, Uncle Jamie, Sophie, and Avia invited us over for a pool party. They had lawn chairs set-up in their driveway and the pool was just across the way.
It was sunny and warm in Walnut Creek, which was perfect for a day in the pool. Even Peanut got some pool time!
He enjoyed floating around in his personal floaty with sun shade.
Auntie Ishya and Uncle Billy brought Sadie and Theo over too and all the kids hung out in the pool and outside.
This photo makes it look like their at some kind of resort!
After everyone showered and changed, we hung out inside the house before heading home for nap time.

Mama had to work today so the kids were home with Dada for most of the day. I love these photos that Janie takes while Dada is taking care of Peanut.
We had a quiet Monday while everyone went to work, school, and their usual outings. In the afternoon, we said our goodbyes and headed to the airport.

Before boarding our plane, Janie showed us how she winks. Heh heh. It’s hilarious. This is also one of our last sightings of Little Guy. More on that in a bit.
This is also the very last photo of Janie with her BFF. It’s hard to tell but it’s clutched in her left arm.
Peanut got his own seat and sat next to a nice gentleman who was very tolerant of him trying to share his snacks and always wanting to play with his arm.
The flight went well and both kids did great…that was until the plane stopped and we had to wait to deplane. At that point, Janie totally lost her cool and started to cry and yell “THERE’S TOO MANY PEOPLE! I WANT TO GET OFF THE PLANE!” Then Peanut started to cry too. Sheesh. By then both Mama and Dada were flustered and tried to get off the plane as quickly as possible. We didn’t realize Little Guy was gone until we arrived at the In N Out just outside of the airport. By then, Little Guy was either thrown in the trash or flew back to Long Beach that night. Regardless, we called and called and filed a report at the customer service desk with no luck.
FYI: Janie has no idea that she left him on the plane. She fell asleep in the car on the way home and woke up with the second Little Guy that we pulled out of our hiding spot at home.
Peanut and Janie got some good family time in this weekend. Here are photos of Peanut with Yai and Uncle Johnny.
He also got a good laugh from Auntie Joy and Cousin Alice when they tickled his feet.

Janie hung out in the backyard with Ta and a big stick that she found. She claims she was “helping” but it looked more like supervising.
Peanut loved beef chowfun today and ended up as a greasy mess.
The girls tried to take a nap together but that never works out well.
Janie also got to hang out with Auntie Jia, who she misses so much.
Before bed, Peanut found a comfy spot on Ta’s tummy.
We went to Cousin Alice’s housefor dinner this evening and Yai went straight to work on trimming Peanut’s nails.
Uncle Johnny grilled up some Thai BBQ chicken and Peanut had a fun time eating it.
Everyone had a tasty feast with the exception of the two girls who would rather play in the sand. It was also a nice to sit outside for dinner.
They also played in Alice’s room together. Dada caught this photo through the window.
Cousins Toni and Thomas turned 1 year old a couple days ago. Today, they had their birthday party and Ankong and Ama’s house. It was so fun to see the cousins reunited again.
It was also nice to see the whole family together too.
Janie spent most of the day in the backyard playing with the fish pond. When Cousin Alice came over, she joined her in the fun.
Daddy picked up Janie from school this afternoon while Mama got a table inside. We were there early enough for Happy Hour oysters and Janie was so excited.

While we had our oysters, Peanut enjoyed a crusty piece of french bread.
He had such a good time gumming this thing and it occupied him for at least 30 minutes.
Daddy wanted crab so we also ordered some roasted dungeness crab. Janie had fun using the special fork.

After our meal, Peanut got to stretch his legs a bit and cruised along the cement blocks on The Embarcadero. The weather was warm and sunny that evening. It was the perfect way to end a busy week.
We also had to stop at Dada’s office to pick up his bag on our way home. The kids waited patiently in the lobby.
Janie ate her pizza and gave her little brother the crust. Lucky guy…
After finishing the first one, Mama gave him another and then Janie gave him a third. He was double-fisting at one point and yelled at Mama when she tried to take one of them away. He really loves his pizza crust.
This Memorial Day, Mama had to go to work. Dada was home with both kids and it got off to a rough start.
Luckily there was a schedule to follow and Peanut was happiest when he was eating. Janie took a photo of Dada feeding him his breakfast. We’ve gotta teach her not to cover the lens with her finger.
Later that morning, Dada took them on an adventure to Safeway. Peanut fell asleep in the stroller while Janie helped pick out the groceries.
For lunch, they went to Little Skillet for fried chicken and biscuits.
Peanut had his milk and a second lunch. Dada thinks he ate more chicken than big sister.
When Mama got home in the afternoon, everyone was napping. Looked like Dada had a pretty successful (yet exhausting) day with the kids.
