This afternoon, we went to Alameda visit Zoe and Maya. They recently moved to a bigger house in Alameda and the kids had a great time together.

When it was time to go home, the girls got dressed in their jammies together. So cute…
This is how we survive Costco trips nowadays. Gotta come prepared if you wanna get you shopping done. 🙂
This afternoon, we walked, scooted, and skated to our new go-to place, Spark Social SF.
Janie’s been doing a good job following directions and walking her scooter across each of the streets.
Peanut chowed down with the rest of the family. Janie got a big slice of pizza and then a second.

I’d have to say this is one of Peanut’s first words. Peanut learned to say “agua” (water in Spanish) and has been doing it consistently. So cute…
This afternoon, we headed home. We flew from Long Beach to Oakland and got to the airport early enough to have some dinner. The kids hung out as Mama and Dada purchased food and drinks for everyone.
Peanut got some of Janie’s rice and beans. Yummy!
On the plane, Peanut was fussy but eventually fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Janie watched a movie and was pretty content in her seat.
Once at Oakland Airport, Janie was happy to be free to move. This is her version of parkour in the terminal.
On the drive home, it was too sunny on Janie’s side of the car so she hid under her hoodie for part of the ride.
Little Brother is all smiles while Big Sister is all business this morning during breakfast.
This little boy turned ONE today and we celebrated with a little party with the family.
He wore his birthday shirt and had a fun time with the whole family.
Uncle Kenneth brought water balloons and the girls had a fun time in the front yard.
Meanwhile, the cousins were reunited and played together.
Doesn’t he look so cute in between his two grandfathers?!
His favorite part of the party was lunch. We ordered Thai food and he gobbled up handfuls of noodles and watermelon.

Our baby hippo had a little hippo candle on his cake.
There was singing and lots of crying when it was cake time.
I’m not sure how I got a smile out of him because he cried through the birthday song and didn’t want anything to do with his cake.
Big sister Janie blew out the candle for him and enjoyed her own piece of cake with Auntie Jia.

On our way home from the beach, we stopped for ice cream.
Daddy hooked him up with a few bites and loved it.

After a bath and dinner, Janie went over to Alice’s house while Mama and Dada had a date night.
They had cereal while watching Finding Nemo together. She got a little sad before falling asleep but did a good job keeping the bed dry through the morning.
