These two have been playing together a lot more lately. They had a picnic this afternoon.
They also shared a few giggles (and dried mango) in the Costco shopping cart too.
Back in SF
We had a quiet morning today on our first day back from Mexico. It’s also Labor Day today. Aaah…no school and no work. I think the kids were happy to be home with their toys again.
For breakfast, we went to Chinatown and Peanut had his first taste of Chinese fried dough. Yum.
On our walk home, we stopped at the playground for a little swinging. Weeeeee!
lunch and siesta
We had lunch at the pool bar and Peanut snuck out of the stoller on his own today.
He’s on the loose!
Once we got him back in, big sister kept him entertained.
Then it was back to our room for some quiet time. Peanut played in the crib and Janie got a little screen time. Aaaahhh…
breakfast hijinks
Going to the breakfast buffet each morning has been a great way to start the day. There was plenty of food for everyone to enjoy at their own pace.
This morning, Janie brought her camera along and we snapped a few candids during our meal. She took this of her little brother waiting for Mama to get him more food.

Day at the Pool
This morning, we woke up to a warm sunny day. Janie went out to the balcony to see the view from our room.
Then we had a buffet breakfast at Tomatoes Restaurant, which also overlooks the beach.
Peanut tried to help with carrying his gear to the pool but he just ended up playing with it.
Today’s pool had a cool waterfall – perfect for filling up her bucket with water.

We had lunch poolside today and Janie had a great time on her lounge chair eating a quesadilla and fries.
In the meantime, Peanut fell asleep after his dip in the pool.

fried chicken
We went out for fried chicken this evening and everyone left a greasy mess.
When we were all done, the kids played together while Mama packed up all our stuff.
Janie’s such a good big sister and always manages to keep her little brother entertained.
Signing “more”
This little guy finally decided to sign “more” after so many months of teaching him. Look at how precise his fingers are with the motion! He also says “agua” in this video.

PB Sammich
Our little dude had a peanut butter sandwich all to himself this morning. Love the chubby little fingers holding onto that gigantic sandwich!

Rock Wall
For lunch today, we went to Rock Wall Winery in Alameda. It was warm enough to sit outside for lunch.
This guy is such a clown.
The kids enjoyed the view of SF from the other side of the bay today.
Breakfast with Mama
The kids went out for breakfast with Mama this morning. They looked so cute together from across the table.
They’ve both perfected the silly squinty face too.
