Janie also woke up early and got a taste of one of Mama’s favorite Thai treats – kanom krok.

Watch us grow!

We went to South Coast Plaza to have dinner at Din Tai Fung this evening. The wait was at least an hour so Peanut and Mama explored the mall while Janie slept in the car.

He really liked the Gap Kids store but was not so good about keeping his hands off the merchandise.

Janie tried her first xiao long bao today and did a nice job eating it the right way without making a mess.

She loved it so much that she ate another 5 dumplings all on her own. Dinner just got really expensive.

Meanwhile, Peanut had noodles, pork, and chicken. He also tried eating fried rice with a spoon and thought this would be a more efficient way of eating it.

For Christmas, we went to Uncle Jason and Auntie Jia’s house. Dada prepared a standing rib roast today and used a blowtorch to prep the meat.

Thomas and Toni got a front-row seat to the fiery action.

Mama, Peanut, and Janie arrived a little later and were ready to play!

Dinner was delicious and Janie enjoyed sitting with her family.

After dinner, the kids opened presents. There were SO MANY presents!!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!

Janie went to Black Bear Diner with Yai and Ta this morning for breakfast.

She had a big hearty meal of pancakes, bacon, and sausage. Yummy!

For the 5th year in a row, we went to Disneyland for Christmas Eve. Yaaaaay!! We lucked out on the weather given the huge rain storm we had overnight.

Our first ride was “It’s a Small World” and the line was super short.

Peanut was very excited for a boat ride and Dada was not “keeping all arms and hands inside the boat”.

This little guy couldn’t help dancing and clapping to the festive music.

We later went to Fantasyland and rode Peter Pan, which was Janie and Peanut’s first time.

While Peanut took a nap, Janie went on Dumbo with Dada.

Then it was off to the carousel for a spin.

Before lunch, we took a stroll down Main Street. What a gorgeous day it was today!

Peanut loved walking and exploring. This year is so much for fun for him compared to last year!

At Carnation Cafe, Janie had the “make your own sandwich” meal complete with goldfish-shaped bread!

During the Christmas Parade, Mama and Dada went on some fast rides.

We then went to Tomorrowland and Janie got a Driver’s License and tried driving a car with Mama’s help.

The Astro Orbiter was also a fun ride for Janie.

Somehow we managed to squeeze the three of us into the rocket while Peanut watched from the sidelines.

We tried going on Astro Blasters but Janie was too scared to actually use the laser gun. Peanut liked the joystick for spinning the car.

We tried taking a family photo in front of the castle.

We also caught the “Paint the Night” Parade from our dinner table at Plaza Inn tonight. Janie was so happy to see Elsa on her ice castle.

Peanut also enjoyed the parade and danced along.

Janie eventually fell asleep in the stroller but Peanut was still wide awake so he got a ride on Dumbo with Mama and Dada. Weee!!!

After the kids went to bed, Mama and Dada went back to the park for a couple more hours to finish the night.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!

We had lunch at Sam Woo today with Auntie Jia, Uncle Jason, Thomas, and Toni.

Janie didn’t have school today and Dada was home sick so they spent the day together.

After taking Dada to the doctor for his check-up, they had lunch together at the local food truck.

Meanwhile, Peanut spent the day with Mirian and Andrea. Here they are riding the elevator to the Clubroom.

Mirian sent these cute (and funny) photos. Peanut looks like a little buddha in this photo.

I really don’t know how she gets him to sit so still for photos.

This afternoon, we went to Zoe and Maya’s house in Alameda for a holiday dinner party. Peanut played with Maya and Anika while Janie played with Zoe and the rest of the girls.

For dinner, the grown-up ate prime rib and Peanut had his very own drumstick for the first time.

Here’s a photo of Maya, Zoe, and our kids.

The rest of the kids were gathered around and this was the best photo I could get of all of them at once. We might be missing one of them too.

This afternoon, we attended Henry’s 3rd Birthday Party. It was complete with construction hats, cones, a bulldozer, and other fun things to play with.

Janie played inside the fort with Henry and his cousin Dash.

Peanut also played with the birthday boy and his cousin.

There was a Mater pinata and Janie made a pretty good whack at it.

Here is Janie and her buddy Henry cheesin’ for the camera. Happy Birthday, Henry!

Henry’s little brother, Hudson, posed with Peanut.

Here are the kids on the “milk mat” again.

We had some extra time to kill before heading out for a birthday party so the kids had a little tea party in the livingroom.

Afterward, Peanut continued to play and was cooking up a tasty salad and sauteed veggies.
