The kids had no school today but Mama had to work so they went out for lunch at Chipotle with Dada. So fun!
Lychee Jelly
Saturday morning
We had a laid back Saturday morning at home. The kids had breakfast with Yai and then went outside to play.
Mama loves the new storm door. It makes it so much easier to watch the kids.
Home Together
It’s Mama’s day off and both kids stayed home today. After swim lessons, we stopped for the usual smoothie.
Then they came home, showered, and played restaurant together.
Dinner was on their own tonight and they did a great job keeping each other company.
Week with Yai
Janie is still on Winter Break while everyone else has to go back to work/school. So, Yai came back up with us from Cerritos to help hang out with her for the week. Today, they took the bus to Southshore Center for lunch.
Meanwhile, Peanut was back at school. It was a little rough in the morning but he adjusted.
Dessert and Good Hygiene
The kids had some New Year’s ice cream after dinner.
They also made sure to brush their teeth extra well tonight.
Ringing in the New Year
This evening, we went to Zoe and Maya’s house for a New Year’s Eve celebration.
It was quite a feast for all the kids and then the grown-ups had their dinner while they all watched a movie.
Close to 9pm PST (midnight EST), we all got dolled up for the countdown.
When the ball dropped, everyone hugged and let go of the poppers.
Happy New Year!!!
Carrot Dance
Both kids wanted whole carrots and decided to do a carrot dance too.
Henry’s Playground Party
Henry celebrated his 4th birthday at Astro Park/Playground this morning. It was a rocketship theme complete with cupcakes covered in rainbow rocks an stars.
The kids enjoyed the chocolate cupcakes – including Peanut!!!
I was in disbelief when he asked for one and actually ate a few bites.
Henry’s little brother Hudson was also enjoying his cupcake.
There were lots of bagels and fruit to snack on too!
The playground was fun too! Peanut loved the rainbow slide and bridge.
Janie showed off her monkey bar skills today and looked like the next American Ninja Warrior.
The Drive Home
The kids did great on the drive back up to Alameda. They watched “The Sound of Music” in the van and got to run around each time we stopped.
Our last stop was in Livermore for a sushi dinner. Janie must have been starving because she gobbled up her roll and wanted another one.
Peanut also had a few pieces along with his soup and noodles.
