Morning in WC

This morning, both kids had a dentist appointment scheduled in Walnut Creek. They love going to Uncle Randy’s office because of the video games.

Janie went first and showed Peanut how it’s done. She has 3 out of 4 6-year molars already popped out and her x-ray shows her top front tooth ready to fall out with her grown-up tooth waiting in the wings.

When it was his turn, he opened his mouth and got a full cleaning with fluoride treatment. He got a new toothbrush and sticker, which made him so happy.

For lunch, we went to a bagel shop and got some chocolate milk. So lucky!

We also stopped at Whole Foods where Janie picked out some mochi ice cream and Peanut got to push a kid-sized shopping cart around the store.

Late Dinner

We went to Tomatina for dinner this evening but there was going to be a 20-minute wait. So, we went next door to the local bookstore to do some browsing and reading.

Once we were seated, the kids stayed busy with their workbooks.

Peanut loved his kid’s spaghetti and Janie had pizza. Yum!

Boba Friday

The kids got picked up early from school today and we went out for a special treat.

They were so excited to see that we ended up at a boba shop.

They shared a lychee slushee drink with boba along with an order of dumplings. Yummy!

Dinner Outing

We went out for dinner this evening and Janie did a great job using her chopsticks tonight. She ate her entire meal with them!

Saturday morning message

Janie wrote a note on the fridge this morning. It says “I hate Chinese school. I love swim. True story.”

Well, we did go to both and Janie got another ribbon at swim class for the first goal (on the board behind her).

As a special treat, we went to get mango slushie with boba. Yum!

Ice Cream Outing

We went out for dinner tonight and stopped at the ice cream parlor before heading home. The kids played with some old skool video games and then shared a scoop of rocky road ice cream.

Zoe and Maya’s House

This evening, we went to Zoe and Maya’s house for dinner. We joined a few other families from Bay Farm and there were 13 kids there tonight! All the kids either went to Bright Horizons (Peanut’s school), still go to Bright Horizons, or attend Earhart School (Janie’s school).

Their house has so much to do and play with that we don’t need to bring toys each time we visit. Tonight, the kids played in this giant box for a while.
