Saturday

After Kung Fu, we had a pretty laid back day. It started with a FaceTime call from Alice and Leela.

Later, Janie tried to teach Peanut how to play chess. That did not go well.

For lunch, Dada made pasta with the pesto sauce that was made with our homegrown basil.

Peanut also tried one of Mama’s homegrown tomatoes.

Busy Evening

This afternoon, Mama picked up the kids a little early to attend a Pumpkin Festival held by the Alameda Firefighters. They set up a pumpkin patch and gave away pumpkins to any kid who attended.

They also had a fire truck with a ladder parked out front for the kids to see up close.

Afterward, we went to Target to look for a Nintendo Switch item that Dada wanted but they didn’t have it on sale anymore. The kids didn’t care because they still got to play with all the stuff they had on display.

After swim, we had to stop at Costco to buy a brisket. Dada is going to be smoking a brisket tomorrow for our neighborhood friends! The kids did a great job throughout the whole evening and got some Coscto pizza and smoothie too!

Pumpkin Farm

This morning, we went to Joan’s Pumpkin Patch and Farm.

We also met up with Sophie, Avia, Sabrina, and Cecily.

There was so much to do at this farm!

Janie did a little panning for gems, which looked more like colorful aquarium rocks.

Peanut could not wait to ride the train.

There was a petting and feeding area with lots of hungry goats.

We also stopped for lunch at Fiery Shanghai and the Tsaos joined us before heading home. The girls sat together and tried spicy noodles too.

They also had a Snowflake that had rolled ice cream.

Sunday

We went to Aquatech for Janie’s usual swim lesson and Peanut did a great job keeping himself occupied with his trucks.

We also stopped at Target to shop for a few new swimsuits for Janie and the kids walked away with new skateboards.

For brunch, we had dim sum at East Ocean and Peanut ate his own order of 4 siu mai all on his own.

Janie had a bunch of har gow and tried some jasmine tea.

This little guy insisted on bringing his backpack and imitated Dada on our walk back to the car with his sunglasses on and phone in his hand.
