No trip is complete without a meal at Ramen Nakamura!
Morning Walk
One of Peanut’s favorite things to do is wake up early to take a Mommy-only walk to the ABC Store.
Today, we picked out a pair of sunglasses for him and got some Spam musubi for a morning snack.
We also stopped at Starbucks for some coffee for Mama. Peanut happily waited outside with this snack.
Waikiki
In the afternoon, Auntie Yoon dropped us off at the Sheraton Waikiki. When we checked in, the front desk upgraded us to an oceanfront room. WOW!
The kids couldn’t wait to hit the beach so that’s what we did after dropping off our things.
The evening sunset was so pretty from the lanai.
The kids drew their version of our afternoon. So funny. I like how Janie’s drawing is of Dada on the beach saying “This is relaxing.”
We had dinner at the foodcourt nearby and the kids got their first shave ice for the trip.
Morning in Kailua
Auntie Yoon picked us up from the airport last night and we slept over at her house. The kids loved playing with Trevor and had McDonald’s for breakfast.
We also went to the Farmer’s Market nearby and picked up lunch.
Later in the day, we went to the park/school yard behind their house to play on the playground and fly a kite.
What a nice way to relax on our first day in Hawaii. Thank you to Auntie Yoon and Uncle Kurt for hosting us!
San Francisco
We took Yai to the city today.
For lunch, we went to Hog Island Oyster Co. It had been so long since we last went into the city and ate here.
Car Picnic
We still enjoy going to the food trucks on Saturday but the only difference is that we eat in the back of the van.
Brunch on the Golf Course
We walked to the golf course in the neighborhood and enjoyed a yummy brunch outside.
Dim Sum is back!
We had dim sum for the first time in almost a year! There weren’t any carts and we had to sit outside but we’ll take it!!
Kung Fu
The grass was wet this morning so we set-up camp on a green bench today. The kids had to take turns waiting for each other.
Together Again
After so many months of being at home and not together at school, Peanut and Ethan got to see each other at the playground. They enjoyed time in the wood chips, in the trees, and in our beach chairs sharing a snack.
