Watch us grow!
This morning, we went to Fremont to have some dumplings and noodles for lunch.
Then we went to 99 Ranch to buy some fresh clams. Dada’s making Hog Island Clam Chowder for dinner at Uncle Ian’s house tonight.
Janie peeled all the potatoes and Peanut made potato peel soup.
Here’s the final product and it was delicious!
We went out to eat this evening and the restaurant happens to also serve rolled ice cream! The kids chose cookies and cream with rainbow sprinkles. Yummy.
This morning we rode the ferry to the city to catch the big sailing race held at the Marina Green.
There was a long walk from Pier 41 to the Marina Green but the kids did great!
At the event, there were games for Janie to play including Connect Four and Jenga. Peanut fell asleep once we arrived so he missed out on all the sailing and games.
He did wake up by the end and got to see the race boats getting ready to head back to their headquarters.
Before heading back, we stopped to get a bite to eat the Fisherman’s Wharf.
The kids had fun riding in the stroller together.
This has to be one of Peanut’s favorite meals – spaghetti with all-you-can-eat bread with olive oil at Trabocco.
We tried a new dinner place today. It’s in Ballena Bay with a view of the water out front and the harbor in the back.
We all went to the California Academy of Sciences today!
They have a new dinosaur exhibit and the T-Rex really scared everyone.
Peanut got brave enough to take photos with the other dinosaurs.
They also climbed on top of one
Peanut also went searching for fossils in the sand.
The kids also enjoyed the aquarium downstairs and visited the touch tank.
On our way back from lunch, Toni, Thomas, AND Janie all got rides.
We also stopped for ice cream before heading back to Alameda.
The little kids had fun rolling around in the grass too.
It was an exciting day and everyone, including Auntie Jia, fell asleep on the drive back.
After the cousin sleep-over, all the kids were up early the next morning. Mama went to work and Janie went to school but Peanut got to stay home with the rest of the family.
The boys actually took a nap too!
Afterschool, we all went to Jamba Juice and Daiso.
Later in the evening, the kids snacked on roasted broccoli while Mama went out to pick up dinner for the family. What a fun day!
It’s our last morning with Yai before she flies back to Cerritos today! It’s been fun having her with us for the past 10 days.
Dada made steamed fresh fish tonight and the kids gobbled it all up!
Janie has also gotten very good at eating the fish and picking out the bones with her tongue. She certainly has inherited Ama’s superpower.
Janie had a busy day that started with a make-up swim class, then lunch, and then straight to a birthday party at the gymnastics center.
Her good buddy Jasper was also at the party and his mom caught this funny photo of them together.
