I love getting photos from Mirian while I’m at work. This afternoon, Janie had snack outside at the park while I was writing my notes for the day.

They also played with bubbles together. It’s nice to see that she shares so well with Karla.

Watch us grow!

Mommy went to a class all day so Janie got a full day with Daddy. This is the selfie that she took with Daddy’s phone.

They played in the courtyard and she got to ride her tricycle around. She had a minor spill on the hallway ramp but just got back up and said, “try again”. Daddy was so proud of her resiliency.

For lunch, they had fried chicken and corn bread. Yum.

Daddy made lamb with his new sous vide machine and Janie enjoyed her first taste of lamb. Thankfully the machine makes the meat nice and tender.

Janie had a big Thai dinner with her family today. Yai ordered her favorite Thom Kha soup.

She also watched the fish in the big tank in the front. Cousin Alice likes fish too.

This morning, Janie went on lots of outings with Yai and Ta. Mommy and Daddy weren’t coming back until after lunch.

First stop was the mall. They like to walk Cerritos Mall before it opens.

She visited the pet store where Alice likes to browse the puppy aisle.

They have riding toys there too!
The next stop was McDonald’s, Yai and Ta’s usual hangout.

She got some hotcakes and eggs for breakfast. What a treat!

Then she used a napkin to change Big GG’s diaper.

By the time Mommy and Daddy were home, it was time for a nap and she went out so quickly. It must have been a fun-filled morning.

On Saturday evening, Mommy and Daddy went to a wedding and Janie stayed overnight at Yai and Ta’s house on her own. In the afternoon, she had a tea party with Uncle Johnny and Alice.

She also ate at the kitchen counter with Ta. She liked all the food they gave her.

Later in the evening when the weather cooled off a bit, the whole family went to the park to feed the ducks.

Looked like she had fun feeding the ducks today.

Daddy had tickets to a special event at the Exploratorium so we had a fun-filled evening at the museum tonight.

Janie walked part of the way there and then got a ride on Daddy’s shoulders.

They sold food inside so Janie grubbed on mac and cheese before we started to play.

This was a fun exhibit that both Daddy and Janie enjoyed.

Janie was so worried someone else would use the two balls so she clutched them for most of the time we were there.

In this exhibit, we made colorful shadows. Here’s one of Big GG, who also came along.

It’s just another typical afternoon at home – coloring on the floor;

playing with Mommy’s shoes, GG, and the broom while Mommy makes dinner;

and of course, dinner! Janie had chicken tikka masala and basmati rice this evening. Yum.

This is how I left Janie and Dada this morning before work. Definitely looks like more fun than going to work.

In the late morning, we walked down to the Ferry Plaza to meet up with Uncle Jason, Auntie Jia, and Ama. Janie took a nice nap during our walk and stayed asleep for at least an hour. When she woke up, she was extra-clingy to Daddy.

Once she was a little more awake, she was ready for some ice cream!!

We later took everyone to one of her favorite playgrounds. She went on teeter-totter with Auntie Jia and also went down the big slide today for the first time.

On the walk home, she held GG on her head while she drank her milk.
