This is Janie’s imitation of Cookie Monster.
Thai dinner

Daddy had to work late so Mommy and Janie went out for Thai food. She loved the broccoli and soup that we ordered.

She also recently learned how to twirl noodles on her fork and this really came in handy tonight.

Janie and Karla

This morning, Janie was in our bed watching Blue’s Clues while Daddy was on a call. When Mirian and Karla arrived, the two girls watched it together.

Daddy also went out to buy them all a special treat for breakfast. Janie got hotcakes and sausage today!

Later, they went to the library in the afternoon to read some books.
Waffle!

After Mommy’s morning run, we stopped at the coffee shop for a waffle. It came out hot and crispy and Janie was so excited to hold it all on her own.

She got a few bites in and was so happy. “Yummy, Mama!”

Luckily she was nice enough to share it with Mama.
noodles and baseball

Janie really likes baseball for some reason. This evening at dinner, she had a front-row seat in front of the big screen while the Dodgers were playing.

I couldn’t tell which she enjoyed more, the noodles or the baseball game.

I think the noodles won by a slim margin.
Thursday evening

It’s so warm here in SF this week and this evening it stayed warm through the night. When I got home from work, we took a nice long walk along The Embarcadero. It was hot even by the water.

We also had dinner outside this evening. Janie tried chicharrones today and had lots of pickled vegetables during Happy Hour.

Here she is picking out a dessert after dinner.
Mommy’s Birthday

Today is Mommy’s birthday and in preparation for the dinner party, Janie helped out with buying food and supplies for hot pot. Here is her bouquet of spoons.

She liked them so much that she almost didn’t give them up when it came time to pay for them. Luckily she did just long enough for the lady to scan them.

When it was time for dinner, Janie ate lots of rice, meat, and mushrooms.

She also got to hang out with her aunties and Baby Avia.

The best part was helping Mommy blow out her candles. Good job, KK!
More Family FaceTime

This morning, Janie sang “Happy Birthday” to Uncle Johnny and fed him some cake.

She also had breakfast with Alice.
Fancy Late-Night Dinner

Daddy was off work a little late tonight and we decided to go to a nice Japanese restaurant for dinner on the way home from Happy Hour.

Janie was so good sitting in her highchair at the robata bar, coloring in her book, and slurping her miso soup while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a nice fancy dinner.

She also ate plenty of the mushrooms, risotto, and scallops that we ordered.

We were so proud of our little diner. It pays to train them early!

By the end of dinner, she was looking a little tired and was consoling GG with “it’s ok”. Luckily we brought the stroller because she slept through the whole walk home. We didn’t get home until 10:30.
Happy Hour

Janie and Mommy had Happy Hour this evening while waiting for Daddy to finish working. On the way to the restaurant, she had a snack in the stroller. She loves to peel and eat mandarin oranges.

It was a very nice evening to be outside. Cheers!!

Janie snacked on chips and guacamole and share some with GG.
