I found this kid eating raspberries like this today. Silly girl.
Dada’s home!
After lunch, we went to the airport to pick up Dada. Look at this little lady with her bag in hand.
We took Dada out for a late lunch and she got to see the pictures that he took in France.
She was also reunited with Squirt!
We also stopped at 99 Ranch Market and Janie took a ride on the front of the cart.
She also helped pick out vegetables for the week. She looks like such a big girl.
When we got home, Dada gave her all the tasty treats he brought home from France. Yum!
Saturday Morning Fun
This morning, we went to the Farmer’s Market and stopped at the playground before heading home. The swing was her favorite part and there was pure joy in her face.

On our walk home, balloon guy gave her a flower balloon. It actually made it home without popping.
For lunch Janie had chicken porridge that we brought home from Out the Door.

She was also very silly during lunch. It’s funny how this still makes her laugh. She’s been doing this since she was a baby.

Backyard Party
This afternoon, Janie attended a going-away party for Uncle Chris. He works with Mama and will be going to nursing school starting next week. So, we all threw him a fiesta and there were lots of kids for Janie to play with that afternoon. Here she is going up and down the stairs with Liem.
Janie had her dinner next to Baby Henry in the backyard.
We had a pinata and Janie only took one swing at it.
Uncle Chris took that last shots to bust it open and all the kids collected their loot. Janie went home with a whistle and Smarties.
What a fun party and a great way to spend a warm Friday evening in Oakland!
Basketball Dinner
Janie has enjoyed watching the NBA Finals so we had a special taco dinner in front of the TV tonight.
She did a good job keeping her little burrito intact.
Daddy in France

Daddy has been in France since Sunday and so far we’ve been doing ok. During dinner today, she was trying to remember where Daddy went and this was part of our conversation.
She’s talking about Squirt because he tagged along on Daddy’s business trip and has been sending photos of his adventures. Janie gets a good chuckle out of them.

After her nap, we had lunch at a local Japanese place. Edamame is always fun to pop out of the pods.

What she really came for was the soup, which she slurped up with gusto.

Oakland
Janie went to a baby shower with Mama today in Oakland and there were plenty of toys and kids there! Auntie Felicia had a patio downstairs where Janie played in the sandbox with Mako.
Lunch was delicious but the vanilla ice cream for dessert was even better!
Henry and Janie bonded over the Sesame Street apartment toy. These urban babies totally got it.
Breakfast Outing
This morning, Janie rode her scooter down to the local French Bistro for some breakfast. She’s gotten so fast that Dada has to do a light jog to keep up with her.
She enjoyed most of Mama’s waffle and strawberries and also had some of Dada’s ham.
This kid worked up quite an appetite on her ride over to the restaurant!
Making Spaghetti
Daddy was making spaghetti tonight so Janie went to her kitchen and made some too!
This kid loves spaghetti – just like her Mama.
