Janie’s hair is usually really fluffy in the morning when she wakes up. This is what she looked like this morning during her big stretch.

It’s her tongue!
This morning after I fed Janie, I put her down in the bassinet while I cleaned up. When I can back, she stuck her tongue out at me! It’s different from what she does when she’s hungry. Her tongue was coming out of her mouth farther than usual and in different positions (to the left or to the right).
She was also doing it repeatedly. Yaay! She has voluntary tongue protrusion! As an OT, this makes me so excited. She’s one step closer to eating solids!

Janie loves to put blankets and washcloths in her mouth. Today she used her dress instead.
Jazz for Janie
This afternoon, we rode the bus to the Fillmore Jazz Festival. Janie rode with Daddy in the front carrier and held onto his shirt during the bus ride. So cute!
We got seats on the lawn and listened to Mommy and Daddy’s favorite performer. Janie sat in Mommy’s lap for the whole thing and took a quick nap too.
