More pockets!
Last night, Janie found her jacket pockets and loved them!
Unfortunately she got a little excited and had a slow-motion fall forward onto her face and scraped her nose and lip. 
This is what it looked like this morning. Poor baby.
Tiny Giraffe
This weekend I bought Janie a tiny pet giraffe. When she saw it, she immediately said “GG!” and wanted to open the jar to take it out. Looks like we’ll have to have a lesson on just looking from the outside.
Sawasdee Ka!
Janie chatted with Yai and Ta this evening and she’s now more consistent with greeting them with a proper wai (the traditional Thai greeting/bow that you give to your elders). She also had an unusually large tummy this evening that she had to show off to them.

This evening as I was washing dishes, Janie came up to me to show me her finger. It looked like she nicked it on something this morning and it had scabbed over. However, right before she came up to me, it looked like she nicked the scab on something and now it was hurting. So we washed it, put Neosporin on it, and then put a bandaid over it. At first she was ok with it but then she cried and wanted to take it off. I ended up having to put a bandaid on the same finger on my hand to show her it was ok and handed her GG. She left it on for the rest of the evening.
Cheese
Before bed, Janie and Mommy just hung out on the couch together.
She was especially giggly and snuggly and now says “cheese” when she sees a camera.
Now we can finally get some photos of her smiling.

Curious
These two have really warmed up to each other. Janie and Alice had to cool off after a long walk outside in the sun so they were comparing tummies.
Later that afternoon, while Alice was getting her milk, Janie came by to watch.
She was so curious and was eager to share her milk with the baby.
Bruiser
Janie got two more boo-boos on her face today.
She fell down at the library and bumped her chin on her cup. The darker bruise was from two days ago and it’s healing. Unfortunately, her cheekbone had a collision with Karla’s head today as well so that explains the smaller bruise on her right cheek. So that makes three total bumps this week. *sigh*
Luckily that doesn’t bother our little bruiser! She acts as if there’s nothing wrong and she’s happy as can be.
hot mess
This is the photo that Mirian sent to me while I was at work and pretty much sums up her day. It’s a little girl who had a runny nose and was extra grouchy. She also found a stick at the park and refused to toss it away. As a result, she scratched herself in the face with the stick. Oh, baby.
Later that evening, she was extra hangry, extra clingy, and had a hard time coping with every little thing. So, we put her to bed early and she passed out. Aaaah…our little hot mess can start a new day tomorrow.
