This afternoon, the girls got a hot chocolate treat while they played on their iPads together. Cousin time is the best!
Chinatown

We took a drive to Chinatown today in search of Bruce Lee, almond cookies, a broom, and tasty Thai food.

The freeways were so empty that it took only 20 mins to get there from Cerritos and Chinatown was equally empty.

We found Bruce Lee pretty quickly and got some photos taken.

We also went to Phoenix Bakery and got some yummy almond cookies and other treats.

For lunch, we went to LAX-C and had some Thai street food. SOOOOO TASTY.

Peanut also go to eat the strawberry cake he wanted from the bakery.

At LAX-C, we went on the hunt for a specific broom that Yai asked for. We found it toward the entrance and made sure it was the same one that Yai has at home. Perfect!

We checked everything off the list today and had so much fun too!
Arts and Crafts

We are in Cerritos for the holidays and the kids got straight to work on little paper projects together.
Donut and Airplanes

Yai bought the kids donuts this morning. These guys love sprinkle donuts.

Janie later showed the rest of the kids how to make paper airplanes.

Later that afternoon, we hopped back on the plane and headed back to Alameda. These kids were exhausted and both fell asleep on the way up.

Turkey Cookies

The kids decorated turkey cookies today! The icing was pretty thick but they managed to get the job done.

Here’s Janie’s completed cookie!
Nature Walk and Whine

We went back to El Dorado Park this morning for their Nature Center Trail. It started out great with lots of enthusiasm and curiosity.

Then slowly the boy started to get tired and hungry and it was all downhill from there.

There was a lot of cajoling and negotiating for the latter half of the walk. Peanut was so unhappy and said he “couldn’t walk anymore”. *sigh*

He fell asleep just minutes after getting back in the car so maybe he really was tired. We’re gonna have to build up his walking muscles and bring a snack next time.
Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving, Janie helped Dada quite a bit. She even prepped and cooked the mushrooms herself.

What a big girl we have now!

Dinner was delicious and we were so happy to be with the family for Thanksgiving this year. It was are first time in many years!!

Basketball and Naps

The kids tried out Uncle Johnny’s new basketball hoop and then played in the bounce house.

When it was nap time, Leela and Peanut went for a ride with Mama and Uncle Johnny to pick up Thanksgiving pies. Worked like a charm.

Daiso and Boba

Mama took Janie and Alice on a girls walk to Daiso and then got some boba for the walk back. The girls enjoyed this special shopping adventure and treat at the end.
Fun with Boxes

These two monkeys had a fun time playing in these boxes tonight.
