Being home all day requires some novel activities to pass the time. The kids worked on puzzles and we also had family game night after dinner.

The kids were playing with playdough today and Peanut’s hair was getting in his eyes. So we pulled it up into a fountain and he said “that’s better”.

He’s definitely channeling Uncle Johnny.

Janie also figured out how to made a pretzel!

We had to stay in this year for Easter but the kids made it work. We did some chalk drawings outside and had an egg hunt in the house.

The kids don’t know what an Easter bunny is but they were just happy to get a surprise at the door today. Thanks to Auntie Eleen!

They also did some watercolor painting to finish the day.

It’s Thursday and Mama has the day off to document what the family has been doing at home. Peanut helped Dada make waffles this morning.

Janie had her 9:30am Zoom meeting with her teacher and classmates.

Peanut did some of his Kindergarten workbook and then made a mailbox for his room.

The kids made a couple more Easter eggs for the window.

They also played with kinetic sand outside in the patio.

Janie’s friend across the greenbelt also came by and left her an early birthday message on the sidewalk outside our house. So sweet.

The kids went for their first car ride since 3/15/2020. We went to i-Tea to pick up some lychee drinks and then drank them in the car while Dada went to the store to pick up some groceries.

The kids have rediscovered play dough and spent all afternoon making cookies, noodles, pancakes, and all kinds of other things.

Here’s Janie’s blueberry cake with a giant blueberry on top and tiny blueberries all around it.

Peanut mixed some colors and made rainbow cookies.

For lunch, the kids (mostly Janie) made Spam musubi.

These kids gathered up 200 hard-earned pennies and exchanged them for a surprise that came in the mail today: Marble Run!!

They got to work right away and it lasted them through the afternoon and after dinner.
