Janie is strong enough to pedal the tricycle all the way to the park now.  She likes to sings and pretend to eat snacks while she’s riding.

She also showed off how well she can climb the rope structure too.  Pretty soon this park will be way too easy for her.

Apparently the sand pit and boat are still fun for her.

We headed home as it was getting dark.

She liked riding over the lights that surround the stadium.

Chatter

http://youtu.be/fmLU_-LeetI
This kid is non-stop chatter.  Tonight in the bathtub, she was singing some song that I didn’t recognize but I thought it was funny.  At the beginning of the video she also says “I farted.”  Heh heh.

Half-Birthday Candle

In celebration of Janie’s half-birthday, we put a candle in a scoop of ice cream and sang to her.  Actually, she also sang to herself but that’s part of the fun!  She loved all three parts: singing, blowing out the candle, and then eating the ICE CREAM!!

Singing Along

Janie loves “Frozen” and sings along to lots of the songs including “Let it Go”. It started to play on Pandora and she started to sign along and acted out parts of the movie too. She’s not actually watching anything on the tv – it’s all from memory.

Here’s the actual clip so you can see what she’s doing. Too bad I can’t play them side-by-side.

Thursday Library Time

IMG_5684

Mirian was sick today so Mommy stayed home and took Janie to her usual library time on Thursdays.  We got there 15 minutes early and there was already a line outside!

As soon as we got into the room, Janie was so excited.  She ran in and plopped herself in the middle of the rug and was ready to sing along.  We brought the GoPro to capture some of her favorite songs.

This is their “Hello Song”.  Janie sings this all the time at home. She’s in the blue and white polkadots in the center of the rug.

“Itsy Bitsy Spider” is another favorite. She actually knows how to make the spider go up with her fingers. Amazing.

For “Twinkle Twinkle”, she moved closer to Mommy. Now we can kind of hear her singing.

Of course, we can’t forget the all-time favorite “ABC Song”. This kid is ready for preschool!!

At the end, they played with scarves and sing the “Peek-a-Boo Song”. Now I know what she’s doing with the tissues at home.

After all the singing is done, the toys come out and the kids get to play for another 20 minutes.  It’s a pretty good program and it’s completely free.  I guess it’s worth having to call every Wednesday and Friday to sign her up.  Glad I was able to observe what she’s doing in “school”.  🙂
