This evening, the kids stayed busy with making Christmas cards and playing with their toys.

It’s nice to see them playing together. This evening, they made a city together. Peanut also found another object to use as a guitar. Funny guy.
Watch us grow!

Since the kids have been falling asleep so early, we went to Din Tai Fung (downstairs from our hotel) so they’d have full bellies before bed.

Janie loved the soup dumplings and almond gelatin dessert. She’s trying to open her eyes really big in this picture.

Here’s Peanut’s attempt.

Back at the hotel, the kids showered and put on their pjs before heading upstairs for Happy Hour.

The kids were surprisingly well-behaved and quiet as we waited for Ankong and Ama to return from shopping.

When it was time to return to the hotel, we rode the Star Ferry back.

It runs every 15 minutes and the ride across the water itself is only about 15 minutes long!

Then we hopped on a double-decker bus and got a front seat again.

Peanut had a great time pointing out all the other buses on the street.

At dinner, Peanut drew bananas. He kept yelling “five bananas!” and “take a picture!”

They really do resemble bananas. The orange one on the left is a pretty good one.

This afternoon, Mama picked up Janie early from school to take Peanut to swim class. After the class, we went to the tea shop for some smoothies.

Then we headed over to the ferry terminal to pick up Dada. The sun was setting and the kids had fun running around as we waited.

There’s Dada’s ferry!!

For dinner, we went to have Korean food and Janie worked on her math workbook while we waited for the food.

On our last stop, the kids had some good snuggles while Dada did some shopping.

Janie helped decorate the Christmas tree while Peanut took his nap.

It looks great!! We are so happy to have a bigger tree this year!

We spent the afternoon around Alameda today. After Janie’s swim lesson, we stopped at a tree lot to check out their trees.

Peanut found one that was just his size!

The trees were too expensive so we went next door to Rock Wall Winery for a snack and some games.

Peanut played his block guitar and sang for everyone there while Dada and Janie played with a giant Jenga set. The view of the city and sunset was also really nice.

The kids also played with a giant Connect Four game. Peanut is a determined little boy sometimes.

On the way back, we stopped at a local hardware store and found this year’s tree! It fit in the back of the minivan and smelled so good! Before heading home, we also went to Trader Joe’s where the kids got some water and snacks to go.

We went out for lunch today and this is what Peanut decided to wear.

We also went looking for ducks at the lagoon nearby.

This guy has so many faces…

The Agustins happened to have swim class at the same time as Janie so we stuck around and had lunch with them afterward. We all had some tasty pizza and then the kids got mini gelatos. The two littles (also classmates) had a good time eating their berry gelato.
