Peanut and Mama spent the day together and it was a nice change of pace. Peanut seems a lot quieter when he’s on his own and can entertain himself quite well nowadays. On two different occasions today, he sat down at the table and flipped through his favorite books.
Peanut has such a fondness for books right now. It’s one of his favorite things to do on his own now – flipping the pages of all his books one-by-one.

We’ve gotten back to our reading homework. We are now on Lesson 54 out of 100 and she’s reading sentences now. So cool.

Part of the reading homework is to read a word and then come up with a sentence. It really shows whether or not she understands the word she’s reading. It’s pretty cool to hear what she comes up with.

We are close to the 40th lesson in this reading book and Janie is reading short sentences now! I am amazed that this book actually works.

Goodnight Gorilla is one of his favorite books. It’s funny that he makes this high-pitched sound when he flips through books. It’s also funny to see him get so easily distracted by his pacifier.
This is one of Peanut’s favorite books. It’s filled with all different types of trucks.
