One Last Time

We took Janie to the beach one last time this morning before our afternoon flight.

It was still shady and the sand was nice and cool since it was morning so we got to hang out longer than usual.

It was like having the beach all to ourselves!  A hui hou (see you later), Hawaii!!

100 days

Janie is 100 days old today and it has been fun so far. She’s been babbling so much more on this trip and giving us such joy with each smile or giggle.

We spent part of this day in our hotel room in Hawaii, lounging on our king-sized bed together.  Watching the Olympic Games has never been so fun!

Happy 100 days, Kumquat!  Keep on growing and learning and we’ll be there every step of the way!

Dolores Park

We had a sunny afternoon in SF so we took Janie to Dolores Park.

We put sunscreen on her face for the first time and had to make a little tent to shade her from the sun.  The wind blew intermittently through the tent and she LOVED it.

There was so much delight in her face each time the blanket would waft over her face.

Jazz for Janie

This afternoon, we rode the bus to the Fillmore Jazz Festival.  Janie rode with Daddy in the front carrier and held onto his shirt during the bus ride.  So cute!

We got seats on the lawn and listened to Mommy and Daddy’s favorite performer.  Janie sat in Mommy’s lap for the whole thing and took a quick nap too.

A Day at the Races

This afternoon, Janie went to watch her Uncle James ride in a cycling event. It was a warm sunny day in San Rafael with lots of stuff for Janie to see and hear.

She hung out with Daddy in the carrier for the first half of the day and took a few naps.

Looks like her SPF 50 hat did it’s job in keeping her from burning.  We also got to hang out under the Muscle Milk tent to stay cool.

Later we got the stroller from the car so she could cool off and stretch out.  She seemed pretty content watching the bikes zoom by and listening to the cowbells and cheering. It was so stimulating that she didn’t bother to take any more naps until the sun went down.

Her tasty hand also kept her pretty occupied.

Costco

We took Janie on her first trip to Costco today and I had her in the front carrier the whole time.

I guess it was extra comfy because she slept through the entire hour.  Here’s what she looked like from the top.

As I’ve said before, she always looks extra cute from this angle.
