This afternoon, we went to Auntie Amy and Amelia’s house for an early dinner.  Janie and Amelia played in their “clubhouse” and shared stickers.

Uncle Eric bought and butchered a whole pig for the family.

Peanut also got pretty fussy this afternoon but Aunties Kelly and Lori were able to calm him down.

Granville Island

We went to Granville Island for lunch today.  We found a toy store that had a Janie-sized door!

Vancouver Aquarium

After lunch, we went to the Vancouver Aquarium with the whole family.

This aquarium has dolphins and Janie got to see some jump and dive.

There was so much to see and Janie darted from one exhibit to another at record pace.

Peanut woke up and got to see some jellyfish and tropical fish.  He also met GAunt Jeanie for the first time.

It was harder for him to see the beluga whale but he enjoyed snuggles from Mama while watching big sister running around like a crazy person.

Speaking of big sister, Janie was having a blast with her new friend Amelia.

They ran up and down the ramp and stairs, held hands, and shared snacks together.  When they were doing laps on the ramp and stairs, one would say, “again?!” and the other would say, “yes yes yes!!”

Sushi Lunch

We had lunch with the family today and Janie got to meet Amelia, Auntie Amy’s little girl, who is almost 3 years old.  They shared stickers together and sat next each other as they ate.

Good Morning from Vancouver!

This little guy fell asleep at the restaurant last night and didn’t wake up until 5 am today!  That’s a 9-hour block of sleep!  Wow!  No wonder he’s so chipper this morning.

SFO to YVR

We flew to Vancouver today for a family vacation.

We left the house at 7am and were all checked in by 8am.  Look at these darling babies all packed up and ready to fly.

This was our corner for about an hour while Dada and Uncle Jason were both on work calls.

Janie liked looking out the window while we were waiting to board.  The flight was delayed about 30 minutes today.

Once on the plane, our family of 4 got settled pretty quickly.

Janie got to play on her iPad and Peanut fell asleep.

The kids then switched jobs and Janie fell asleep once Peanut was awake.

There’s Vancouver!!  It’s almost time to land!

We waited for everyone to deplane so Peanut got to hang out in his seat while big sister went to the lavatory with Dada.

Janie was super excited to be in Vancouver and did a great job traveling today!

Peanut also did great – especially for his first ride on a plane.  Thankfully, it was a short 2-hour flight.

As we walked through the airport to get through immigration and baggage claim, he fell asleep.  This boy had an exciting morning.

Our first stop at the airport was the Tim Horton’s for TimBits (donut holes).

Janie picked out chocolate and got a big carton of milk too.  This is us waiting for our rental car.  Let’s get this vacation started!!!

The Embarcadero

Uncle Huy is in town this weekend!  We met up with him and Auntie To at Yank Sing for some dim sum in the morning.

After dim sum, we went across to the Ferry Plaza for ice cream.  Janie helped Peanut with his bottle.

We then stopped for a snack at Epic Roasthouse and sat on the patio with a beautiful view of the bay.
