Lots of Writing and Drawing

Lately, Peanut has been super interested in writing, drawing, and coloring. He insisted on writing out his own birthday card for their neighborhood friend Ellie. Mama spelled out the words and he wrote the letters all by himself!

At dinner, he worked really hard on a color-by-letter picture.

At the end of the night, he drew a car (his is upside-down) and wrote his name on the new white boards they received over the weekend.

Playing Together


Every once in a while, the kids play so nicely together. Today, Peanut copied Janie’s rainbow drawing. It’s not the same but you can see where he’s going with it.


They also played Zingo with a couple extra friends to keep the game interesting.

Volunteering


On most Thursdays, Mama goes into the classroom to volunteer. Janie loves it and it’s also nice to get a glimpse into her school day.


Mama found this drawing she made. It was posted under a sign that asked “How would you like to get to school everyday?”

Blue Angels!

It’s Fleet Week again and the Blue Angels are back! They take off from the Oakland Airport and fly right over our playground as they take off for the air show.


The kids were so inspired that they went back inside the house and drew pictures of them! The peopleĀ  on the grassy hill are saying “Wow”, “Cool”, and “Oo”. I think that’s the whole family: Mama, Janie, Peanut, and Dada.


Peanut gave it a good try and said “this is the Blue Angels!”

Homework


It’s Thursday, so we are finishing up on this week’s homework.


Of course, Peanut wanted to do home work too so he worked on drawing the letter E and learned how to draw a person.


He drew Mama and himself. He also signed with the letter T.
