We celebrated Dada’s birthday at Trabocco this evening. Not only did she eat pizza but drew a slice for everyone – including Uncle Jason. She said his is the one on the bottom right. It has jalapenos.

Watch us grow!

Peanut has been spending some time during the day in the Butterflies class in preparation for his transition to the class in September. He seems to be adjusting well so far.

This boy really gets messy at school everyday. The class got a new shipment of sand for the sandbox and he comes home with his pockets and shoes filled with sand.

He also does lots of art projects that involve glue, paint, and other fun (and messy) stuff.

Here is his best attempt at making an American flag.

The kids woke up early and were greeted by their new friend.

Yesterday, Peanut was a little spooked by an animal that was at his eye level so we started off with him sitting up in his chair and handing him treats. In this video, Trinity only listened to Peanut’s “sit” command.

For the rest of the morning, Janie followed Trinity around the house and filled her up with kibble.

She also drew a picture of her and put it up on her wall.

Before it was time for Trinity to get picked up, we took her for a nice long walk and got a couple of photos of the kids with their new friend.

Thanks for a fun 24 hours, Trinity!! You can come over anytime!!

Janie came home from school with this drawing. It’s a bunch of airplanes. She said “Sota Wota has a shirt with airplanes so I drew this for him. Now we have to send it to Japan.” I guess she still thinks of him often. So sweet.

We had a quiet Sunday at home and the kids enjoyed doing some painting and scribbling side by side.

In preparation for Cinco de Mayo this Friday, the kids all made their version of the Mexican flag.

Peanut was featured on their display wall.

Here’s how his flag turned out.

Mama watched Peanut on the playground this afternoon. He’s the little guy sitting on the edge of the sandbox.

He’s been making all kinds of art projects this month.

We also got his school photos back today! Look at that pose!

He looks so beefy in this photo. I’m just surprised he’s not crying and has his eyes open.

Here’s the class photo. I’m surprised he sat without crying. It’s only his 3rd week at school!

Peanut had a fun time with markers today. It’s a good thing their washable because it was on his face, hands, the wall, and floor by the time he was all done.

Now that we have a “garden”, Janie finally got to open her box of sidewalk chalk.

She drew a pink waffle and some flowers too.

This is one very happy little girl!!
