Janie was watching Mommy decorate the tree and started imitating her. Here she is putting some ornaments up on the tree.

When it was all done, we left most of the low-hanging ones she put on all by herself.
Watch us grow!

Last year, Janie had pureed turkey and potatoes. This year, she had the real deal.

Green beans, mashed potato, and turkey were on the menu and she enjoyed all of it.
Here she is eating the tasty turkey that Daddy made for her.

Janie met her cousin Alice today on FaceTime!! She was born this afternoon at 2:21pm. They are 18 months apart and they’re going to have so much fun together!

I guess it was good enough to have the top with some black leggings.

Karla was Cinderella today.

For Halloween, they went to Thursday Story Time where the other kids were dressed up too.

I don’t think she liked the elephant kid.
Happy Halloween!

We got this costume handed down to us from 2nd Cousin Kyle but Mommy couldn’t find a skirt to complete the outfit.

So, Janie had fun hanging out in the house tonight as Super Baby with diaper and all!

Here she is pretending to fly. Har har.

Loved that it happened to be the evening that she decided to zoom around the house. Too bad I was too slow to catch the action on my camera.

Today Mirian and a bunch of other nannies had a Halloween gathering at the museum.

That meant we had to get a costume for Janie on Tuesday night.

Out of the very slim selection of costumes at Target, we went with the girly pirate. It’s actually pretty cute.

Karla was Tinkerbell so they actually matched. Apparently the pirate character is part of the Peter Pan/Lost Boys cartoon series. So it’s like the fairies teamed up with the pirates. Funny.

I guess the costume matches her usually scowly expression too.

And look at those boots! They’re actually shoe covers.

Hoowee! Look who’s 18 months old! That’s a year and a half! Where is the time going? Well, I thought that I’d take a photo of our big girl in the chair with the quilt for this milestone and this is the best photo I could get. Here’s a recap of this past month:
Janie is growing way too fast for my taste but there’s not stopping. She’s so much fun to hang out with now but keeping her out of trouble can also be frustrating. We’re also at a point now where we really have to take GG away. It’s gonna be hard on all of us but we’re giving ourselves until her 24th month to accomplish our goal. Wish us luck!
Happy 18 months, Little Girl. Mama, Dada, and GoGo love you to pieces.
Janie went to Auntie Joy’s Baby Shower (for Cousin Alice) today. Uncle Johnny had a friend set-up a bunch of Legos and Janie had an endless amount of Duplos to play with. It was also fun hanging out with her 2nd Cousins Theo, Sadie, Katie, and Kyle.
She also tried out regular Legos and did a fine job at getting the tinier version of her favorite square blocks together.

She tried to play with the big boys and managed to get all the pieces she wanted.
Later that day, Uncle Johnny gave her 10 square pieces to take home with her out of his stash. Janie and Cousin Alice will have so much fun together. Can’t wait!!

Janie had a fun time at dinner tonight. She had some spaghetti and enjoyed herself thoroughly.

Sitting across from Auntie Jia was pretty entertaining too. 🙂

Love, Janie
