After lunch, we stopped Costco to see if they had any Hawaiian goodies and the kids got a smoothie sample in the shopping cart.
On the drive back to the hotel, they both got a good nap in the car. They should be ready for the beach and pool this afternoon.
This morning, we got up early, took the bus to the airport, and hopped on a plane to Hawaii! The kids played on their iPads and did some homework too.
Peanut practiced writing his name and drew a picture of Dada.
Peanut took a nice long nap while Janie played her Pokemon game.
The flight took almost 6 hours but the kids did great!
At the airport, Dada and Janie went to get the rental car while Peanut and Mama picked up the stroller and carseat from baggage claim. Peanut found a pay phone and asked “what’s that?!”
We’re finally ready to start our vacation!!
Peanut looks like such a little baby when he sleeps. We had to convince him to take a nap before going on our planned boat ride tonight and it worked!
Peanut loves all the Pete the Cat books right now. He likes to pick two for Mama to read before going to sleep.
This guy fought the nap today but fell asleep in his reading chair after a little fussing. Poor baby.
Janie helped Peanut settle down for his nap today.
Today, Janie played chess with Dada on the giant board that Uncle Jason bought for Dada many years ago.
They later fell asleep for a quick nap. Playing chess is hard work!
This is how we found Peanut this morning. At least he stayed on the bed.
This afternoon, we went to the pool at Harbor Bay Club. The kids practiced their swimming and Peanut even got a nap in on one of the lounge chairs!
Janie tried so hard to imitate Dada while he did his laps. This was her doing following him on her kick board during his cool down at the end. Monkey See, Monkey Do!
It’s Monday again! The morning started with a story on the rug with Ms. Lupita.
Then Peanut made cakes with Ethan.
In the evening, the kids had popsicles for dessert.
Before bed, they both laid down for some quiet reading.
