Janie’s bed head looked especially voluminous this morning.

Janie has been doing rather well sleeping in her pack n play at Yai’s house. She actually gets to sleep in her own room and this is how we found her after her morning nap. She was wide awake and just hanging out by herself without a peep out of her.
We drove down to Cerritos today and Janie did relatively well for a kid that is used to being up and running around all day. Luckily Yai was in the backseat to help entertain her.

We stopped for lunch at In N Out and she ate her tofu and spaghetti before getting her hands on a french fry.

It was nice and warm outside so she enjoyed hanging out in the highchair with no socks and shoes.

In the car, she took two naps with one of them being in the middle of traffic. Phew.

Janie went out to watch another race but we had to trek all the way out to Marina Green today for our grandstand seats.

The morning started with a ride on Daddy’s back and on the special train to Fisherman’s Wharf.

By the time we arrived at the venue, she fell asleep. So, she slept through most of the race.

She woke up in time to see the water from the grandstands but that was about it.

No afternoon is complete without a big snack. Baby Duck is having edamame.

It was a gorgeous day in the Marina.

It was also super windy. In face, it was so windy that they canceled the second race.

Janie couldn’t get enough of the curbs.

She also enjoyed lounging on the Adirondack chair nearby.

When it was time to go home, we rode the Chinatown bus and Janie had a luxo ride on Daddy’s back.

Step One: Eat dinner and make a super mess.

Step Two: Wash it all off and have a good time doing it.

Step Three: Fall asleep in a funny position with the covers kicked off.

After Sophie left, I put her to bed for her usual nap. She fell asleep rather quickly but not until after she pulled down all the toys off the shelf.

This is how I found her ten minutes after putting her down.

We’re headed to the Farmer’s Market again this Saturday morning!
We were running late so we rode the train. Yippee!

Janie had some water to get ready for all the fruit she’d be sampling.

Jonah and Christian were so happy to see her.

Auntie Linda and Jonah helped her chase the pigeon through the crowd.

Here she is showing off a mouth full of cheese.

We must have had a successful trip to the farmer’s market this morning. I’ve got a baby passed out on the walk home with giant strawberry stains on her shirt.

We found Janie in Turtle Mode this morning. So adorable.

Then this evening, we put her down and she was such a little joker.

She was up looking around and trying to engage me in peek-a-boo.

Turns out she had to poop. Once that was taken care of, she was out like a light.

We spent a good part of the day at Zephyr Cove Beach and Janie had a really good time playing in the sand under our tent. She brought her pail and shovels for some digging and pouring.

She also enjoyed the wet sand and water in her bucket.

Unfortunately, she was still scared of the baby waves at the shore but did a good job not panicking like she did in Hawaii.

I’d say that’s progress!

Here she is enjoying a little snack between digging sessions.

She also enjoyed lounging an in the beach chair.

And because she played right through her noon nap, she passed out for an hour-long nap at the end of the day.
