Mama picked up Janie this afternoon and found her working on the alphabet puzzle with a classmate.

Teacher Denise helped wrap up all her artwork into a roll to take home.

She also made this picture by gluing beans and flowers to the board.

We walked along The Embarcadero today to get home. Happy Friday!

It’s so nice to see Janie so engaged when I show up in the afternoon to pick her up from school. Can you spot our little girl in her classroom? She was busy at the water table and concentrating very hard on carefully pouring water and water beads down the long tower/tube that she made.

I quietly walked over to see what she was doing and looked up with a surprised look on her face. Then she said to her teacher, “my mom and grandma came to pick me up today!”

And then she continued to play a little longer – not in any hurry to go home.

She also remembered to wash her hands before giving her teachers a hug and heading home. It’s funny how she can wash her hands thoroughly and quickly at school on her own but she dilly dallies at home and makes a big wet mess in our bathroom.

When we picked up Janie from preschool today, she was busy playing with a big bowl of water beads. They start out as hard pellets and get bigger and squishy like boba when soaked in water.

School has some neat stuff!!

Dada was able to pick her up with Mama this afternoon and Janie was so happy.

She really likes her teachers Denise and Sharla and give them hugs everyday before she leaves. This makes Mama very happy.

This afternoon, Mama picked Janie up from school and she was happily sitting at the craft table cutting strips of paper.

Then we started cutting the strips into little pieces. She would have stayed longer to cut up all the strips but then agreed to take them all home to finish. The teacher was nice enough to make her a little envelope out of construction paper so that they would fit nicely in her backpack.

This morning, Janie told Dada that she wanted both Mama and Dada to pick her up today. So, that’s what we did and we found her happily sitting with her teacher working on an art project. She looked up with a big smile and then went back to work.

So, we hung out and watched her finish her project. All the girls seemed to love the foam stickers!

When we got home, she showed Yai what she made.

Janie told Dada this morning that she wanted Mama to pick her up from school today. So, I did and she was busy playing at the water table this afternoon.

It was so much fun that she didn’t drop everything to give me a hug. Instead, she stayed at the table and showed me how the spinning toy works.

Janie is so lucky to have so many options for getting to school. Today, we took the train!

WEEEEE!!

This was also Peanut’s first ride on public transportation. We were lucky to have an empty car this morning so we were free from germs. Win!

We’ve been reading a book about construction trucks and passed a construction site on our walk from the train to school. We saw an excavator on the move!

Here’s the entrance to Janie’s preschool. Drop-off went ok today. Janie said, “Bye bye, Mommy” but then had some tears when I actually left.

Mama picked up Janie this afternoon after Daddy said he had to work a little late. She somehow remembered that Daddy was supposed to pick her up so she was surprised and said, “You came to pick me up! Where’s Daddy?” There’s no fooling this little girl. Her memory is too good.

When the kids are at school past 5pm, they have a 3rd snack called Tea Time. Each kid is supposed to have their own snack that they brought with them. We didn’t expect her to be there so late so the teachers had to give her something. We will have to pack a Tea Time snack for her from now on just in case Dada is running late.
