Watch us grow!

Most afternoons, Mama finds Peanut on the school slide when it’s pick-up time. Now I see why he’s so confident on the playground slide at home.

Today in school, the kids learned how to hang up their own jackets. Peanut is quickly learning how to be more independent. Unfortunately, that translates into a headstrong little boy at home who insists on doing everything by himself even if it makes Mama late for work.

I don’t know her name but this little girl took an interest in Peanut at school and helped him out of the sandbox and held his hand to come greet Mama at pick-up time.

He also got to take his Easter basket and hat home.

Found Peanut playing with some pals in the playhouse at school this afternoon.

Mama picked up Peanut a little later than usual today but it looked like he kept himself busy on one of the riding toys.

Since it was pretty close to 6pm, we walked along the water to the ferry terminal to pick up Dada and Janie on foot.

What a pretty view! Way in the distance is the San Francisco skyline.

Peanut watched the ferry come in and dock.

Janie was very happy to see us and she led the way home.

Drop-off are still a little tearful.

Surprisingly, he sat down at the snack table and stopped crying just before I got up to leave. Then the tears returned.

In the afternoon, pick-up was fine (as expected) and he enjoyed going home in the stroller instead of the car.

Janie has been riding the ferry most mornings and afternoons with Dada. This morning, she played on the iPad on the commute to school.

Mama watched Peanut on the playground this afternoon. He’s the little guy sitting on the edge of the sandbox.

He’s been making all kinds of art projects this month.

We also got his school photos back today! Look at that pose!

He looks so beefy in this photo. I’m just surprised he’s not crying and has his eyes open.

Here’s the class photo. I’m surprised he sat without crying. It’s only his 3rd week at school!

Peanut said goodbye to Yai this morning before heading out to school. There were kisses and hugs…

…and lots of byes.

Mama picked up Janie and Dada at the the ferry terminal this evening.

What a fun way to commute to school! She is one lucky little girl.
