It rained most of today so we stayed in after going to Chinese school and swim lessons. Peanut browsed some books while Dada helped Janie with her homework. They’re making a leprechaun trap!

Celebrating Innovation
Janie had a special event at her school this evening. To kick it off, she sang 3 songs with her fellow Kindergarteners and the 1st graders.
She was really into it and did a great job singing and doing all the hand motions.
After the performance, we went around to some classrooms to learn about different innovators such as Eli Whitney and Jane Goodall. The 5th graders were each assigned an innovator, dressed up like the person, and gave us lots of fun facts about them.
Wild Things
Janie had another “Wild Things” assembly. Today, she saw an American crocodile, barn owl, opossum, monkey, and boa constrictor. She also touched the snake at the end!!!
Morning Rain
Mama dropped Janie off at school this morning but we stayed in the van until the very last minute because it was raining so hard outside.

Peppermint Playdough
The kids are learning about their senses this unit so Peanut got to play with peppermint playdough today. Glad he gets to do all this messy stuff at school so I don’t have to clean it up.
Making Soup
There was a soup cook-off at Peanut’s school today. In the morning, they played with the pretend vegetables and the slow cooker.
Then they actually made a soup together by taking turns putting in the ingredients.
Good and Bad
Janie made this list of the Good Team and Bad Team. The kids are from her class and she said these are the kids who usually have a yellow card up on the board. She also included people in her family. Phew, they’re all on the Good Team.
