Kung Fu again!

We had nothing to do today so we went back again for another round of lessons. We have months of make-ups so why not?!

Here’s Janie getting a private lesson bc she’s the only green belt in her class today.
Lego Builder

Peanut is showing interest in Legos suddenly and it was quite the confidence-booster when he built this plane on his own with just a little help from Mama to find certain pieces.

Watching him reminded Mama of how Uncle Johnny used to spend hours in his room building cool planes and other contraptions with Legos.

Kung Fu at the Park

We started Kung Fu again since they are open and have been holding classes at Lincoln Park. It’s nice to be able to hang out on a blanket in the sun instead of freezing in the studio.

Outdoor dining also opened up so we went out for lunch on Park St. They made a parklet in an alley so you can buy food to-go and eat at the tables.

Working Hard

Peanut has been doing a good job following along with his teacher over Zoom. Today’s lesson was to predict whether or not an apple would sink or float in a tub of water.

He also did some math problems with the class and had to show his work.

All that work must have taken a lot out of him bc napping was not a problem this afternoon.
Adding Details

Directed Drawing

The kids did some directed drawing from a YouTube video today. Too bad we didn’t take a photo of the drawings afterward.

Drawing and Napping

Drawing for Miss Wells

We had a packet pick-up today so Peanut made a drawing for her. And of course, it’s a submarine.
I see the sub.

Peanut’s sight word for the week is “see” and he writes a sentence with the word. In one of his pages, he wrote “I see the sub.” Now he is drawing lots and lots of submarines and they have so many intricate details.
