Thursday outing

This evening, Janie had an early-pick-up day because of the teachers’ monthly meeting. Dada took her to Burger Bar at Macy’s for an afternoon treat and view of Union Square. Lucky girl!

Meanwhile, Mama had to drive home in traffic, pack up Peanut, ride a crowded Muni train, and meet them downtown.

After out Apple Store appointment, we had dinner at the mall where everyone had some Thai food.

We took Muni home as a family and Janie got to wear her new jacket home. Mama ordered it online and we picked it up at Uniqlo tonight to save on shipping.

Peanut has been showing interest in drinking from an open cup lately (mostly in the bathtub) so it was time to bring out the training cup. He just needs to tip the cup up and let his upper lip depress the disc in the center to let the water out. He enjoys drinking like a big kid and Mama likes it because he can’t spill the water like he does with an open cup.

Our little monkey LOVES bananas!

He also loves to hold it in the peel like a big kid.

Little Monkey ended eating the whole banana in no time at all.

Janie asked for hot pot again for dinner and Dada delivered. She loves the beef balls and picking out what she wants from the pot with her tongs.

Meanwhile, we’ve got this guy just chowing down on everything that Mama puts on his try. He was eating faster than Mama could cool off and cut up for him!

Day in the City

Janie had no school and Mama was given the day off. So, we spent the day in the city. We rode the old trolleys from place to place and Janie looked like such a big girl from this angle.

We watched the ice skaters from the Macy’s window for a bit while Janie enjoyed her smoothie.

We went on a hunt for a jacket for her today but ended up just ordering one online from Uniqlo. It was MUCH cheaper than this cool North Face one we found at Macy’s.

After lunch, we stopped for a special treat for Dada and Janie.

Aquarium

We visited the aquarium today and Peanut had a fun time walking around like her owned the place.

His new favorite thing is backing up to things to sit down. I still remember when Janie was in that stage.

We went on the “living roof” before heading home and got a photo of this crazy kid.

Then she took a photo of Mama and Dada. Nice job!

Mama had to take Auntie Joy and family to the airport so Dada was on lunch duty. Peanut had a little too much fun with his noodles today.

Soba

Dada made the kids soba and teriyaki chicken this evening. Both kids love it and Peanut tried using chopsticks.

Janie ate up all of her dinner tonight and said “Thank you Dada for making dinner”.

Little Diners

Mama was having a rough week so we went out for dinner tonight. These two did a great job keeping themselves busy while Mama decompressed. It also helped that we were in a sports bar with a tv on every wall.
