We arrived at the California Academy of Sciences by 9:45 am (15 mins after it opened) and it was super empty. It was nice to have so much room to roam and Janie could see all the fish without squishing in between people. The first few minutes were in the stroller so she could finish her oatmeal. We usually have to park the stroller off the side but today we had plenty of room for her to ride in it.
The first thing she wanted to see were the harlequin shrimp in the “small small tank” (in her words).
She also asked me to take a picture of them.
One of her favorite things to see are the scuba divers cleaning the tank. She can’t help waving to them.
For once, the tunnel was unoccupied so she enjoyed running in and out of the tunnel.
We’ve never seen this room so empty before. She got the whole tank to herself for a bit.
Our little fish explorer used the card to identify a few of the fish.
“There’s Dory!”
She was fascinated with the upside-down jellyfish today.
We also saw the rays and sharks and caught the tail end of the penguin feeding.
This kid had a great time and we finished seeing everything by 10:45.
Hooray!!
