Mama made this buttoning snake in her class today and brought it home for Janie to test.
She really liked it and all the parts stayed together.
Meanwhile, Little Brother is standing behind her trying to get a closer look at what she’s doing.
“Mama, why can’t I play too?!”
Eventually, Peanut got in at the table but Janie had already hidden the buttoning snake.
So, they played with his ball instead.
On Thursday night, Auntie Teresa sent me a picture of a giraffe lunchbag that she saw at Target. We asked her to buy it for us and Janie got it on Friday after school. She said, “Oh, GG!” and then immediately went for the zipper and started to transfer the contents of her backpack into the new lunchbag.
We’ll definitely have to take it to the zoo on Sunday.

To get Janie used to playing with the backpack, I taught her how to use the zipper.
She also put her puzzle pieces into the backpack and then took them out one-by-one to put them in their places.
What a fun fine motor activity!
