Watch us grow!

The kids spent some time doing worksheets and their “summer homework”.

Here is the drawing that Peanut made. It’s a submarine.

With Shelter-in-Place happening so suddenly and Peanut’s school closing over a weekend, we didn’t have the chance to bring home his belongings. Months later, we were given a day to pick up what he had in his cubby, which included his sunscreen, bandaids, medicine, and some school supplies. This notebook was sent home and it was fun to see the work he did over the first half of the year.

Today, we went to visit Ankong and Ama at their new house. Ankong surprised the kids with a cool drawing tablet.

Peanut drew a snail that has a claw for picking up things.

Janie practiced writing her Chinese name.

It’s Mother’s Day and the kids made cards!

The kids had so much fun last night so Mama drew a cartoon of them on the white board before leaving for work. They woke up and saw it later and loved it! Janie added legs to her stool this morning.

It’s almost Janie’s birthday and Peanut wanted to make her a card. We used a YouTube video to learn how to draw her favorite animal, a giraffe.

He also wanted to make a cupcake and lollipop for her so that’s what he did.

The kids started another drawing lesson this evening.

They learned how to draw different kinds of birthday cake.

We had to stay in this year for Easter but the kids made it work. We did some chalk drawings outside and had an egg hunt in the house.

The kids don’t know what an Easter bunny is but they were just happy to get a surprise at the door today. Thanks to Auntie Eleen!

They also did some watercolor painting to finish the day.
