Activity Gym

IMG_0547

We received this at our front door today – an activity gym and ball pit!  Whoa!  It came with a note and it was from cousins Thomas and Toni!  Thanks, guys!  Tyler will be sure to share with you both whenever you come over to play.  Also, thanks for your extra Rock ‘n Play.  It works like a charm.

morning run

IMG_0497

Peanut tagged along on Mama’s run around Lake Merritt again.  We followed Auntie Ranee who was pushing Sophie and Avia in their double stroller.  It was a beautiful morning but he slept through it under the cover most of the time.  He’ll get to enjoy the view one day.

middle of the night

IMG_0485

This is how Peanut slept for a few hours tonight.

He was on his side and then turned over to his tummy.

Then early this morning, he had a 4am feeding, then had a blowout, and then threw up twice.  I had to wrap him up and give him the pacifier to help him calm down a bit.

Once he was feeling better, he gave me a grin.  This makes being up in the middle of the night worthwhile.

First Baseball Game

IMG_0242

As you all know, we live right next to the baseball stadium.  Janie has always liked watching baseball on tv and has been asking to “go inside” for a while now.  So, Mama found a really good deal ($8 tickets!!) and we went tonight.  Unfortunately, it was sprinkling this evening but that didn’t stop us!  Janie was so excited!!  It was her first baseball game and Peanut’s too!  Too bad he was all covered up in the carrier and slept through almost all of it.

When we entered the gate, we all received the game’s give-away item of the day.  It was a Giants belt buckle.  Haha.  We didn’t care for it but Janie wanted to hold onto hers.

IMG_0248

There was a trolley at the top of the stairs and she couldn’t wait to climb on.

Our seats were on the bleachers and we arrived just before the game started.

Janie watched warm-ups from the lower bleachers and couldn’t take her eyes off the field to take a picture.

IMG_0253

We stood for the National Anthem and Janie held both hands over her heart and listened quietly to the children singing.

IMG_0264

We went over to the Coke bottle slide to see if Janie was tall enough to ride and she is officially a big kid now at around 37 inches.  Woohoo!  Too bad the slide was closed because it was too wet.  However, it didn’t matter because Janie just wanted to go back to our seats to watch the game.

She also asked for popcorn.  That was all she wanted to eat and was so happy to have a small bag to hold in her grubby little hands.

This is one happy little girl.  She actually liked watching the game and clapped and cheered with the crowd.  Luckily it had stopped sprinkling long enough for us to enjoy part of the game.

IMG_0277

Peanut woke up for a bit and got to experience some of the sights and sounds.

Dada also got lots of props in the mens’ restroom as he changed Peanut’s diaper. All the guys walking by were so pumped for him and said, “Wow, how old is he?” and “It’s the little guy’s first baseball game!”

We stayed for about an hour and half before heading home.  It was a fun evening for everyone!

A Day in PJs

IMG_0236

Peanut had a stuffy nose and dry cough today so we stayed home all day and he lounged around in his PJs.  He looked so comfy.

IMG_0225

We slept a lot today and we found him sleeping like this at one point.

IMG_0227

When he woke up, Mama got a cute little grin.

IMG_0229

He also stayed awake for a bit longer and enjoyed staring at the balloon he got from Auntie Ranee a few weeks ago.
