Drawing for Miss Wells
We had a packet pick-up today so Peanut made a drawing for her. And of course, it’s a submarine.
School at Home
The kids are in a groove now with their distance learning. Nice to see they are still learning and we are thankful the teachers are more organized and more demanding of them this yet.
Family Board
At the beginning of the pandemic, we were using butcher paper to make lists and schedules on the wall. With the addition of this white board shortly after, it has become the focus of most days. With the new school year and such a complicated schedule, it’s even more useful. We have the week view for each kid and added a star chart to keep them accountable for daily jobs and tasks.
Distance Learning
We brought the Chromebooks and school work with us! Peanut had his usual Zoom classes this morning.
This is what he did during his breaks.
After Zoom, he got to play on the Nintendo Switch with his cousins.
Participation
It’s good to see Peanut participating in his Zoom classes. Today, he was showing off his decorated letter for his classroom wall.
First Day of Distance Learning
We may be starting with Distance Learning but we still have to take a first-day-of-school photo!!
I remember what a milestone it was for Janie to start Kindergarten. Take a look at a comparison to her first day of K photo!! Both have the same cheesy excited smile. So cute.
After the photos, we all went back inside and hopped on their first Zoom class. Ms. Wells looks so nice and Peanut seemed to follow along just fine.
He made a First Day of Kindergarten crown and name tag just like Janie did!
Here he is wearing his gearn with the rest of the class.
This was Ms. Wells reading the class a story about Chester, their class mascot.
Here is Janie in her first class with Ms. Suzuki. She is an older and more experienced teacher with lots of rules and instructions. 3rd grade is a big jump from 2nd grade! What’s nice is that Janie’s old classmates from Ms. Bliss’ class are all back together again!
Kindergarten Packet Pick-up
Today was Peanut’s packet pick-up day. It was another drive-by event.
When it was time to receive his materials, we asked if this teacher was Ms. Wells and it was!! It was a great coincidence that his assigned teacher was the one that gave him his packet!!! She looks really nice!
Peanut got all his school supplies, a Chrome book, and materials for the first 4 weeks of school.
This is what was in his first week packet. So exciting!
Staying Busy
These kids have been staying busy by doing more worksheets…
being silly…
and re-discovering their toys after being away for 2 months.
3rd Grade Packet Pick-up
Today, it was Janie’s turn to drive by the front of the school to pick up her school supplies. It was a big bag of books, worksheets, and school supplies. We also borrowed a Chromebook for the school year.
She wore a cute dress and fixed her hair because they also did a drive-by school photo. Our baby girl is gonna be a 3rd-grader!!
