We started a new reward system for Janie over the weekend and it seems to be working. She earns pennies throughout the day for following directions, good behavior, doing chores, and trying new things. Pennies can also be taken away as a consequence of undesirable behaviors. Today, she decorated the jar that Mama gave her for her pennies.
We currently have her paying us 5 pennies for one Pocky Stick after dinner. It makes earning the pennies more worthwhile for her. We will have a more extended price list in the next few weeks but for now this is working.
